Ένας διεθνής αγώνας της ιστορικής κλάσης Division II θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα μέσα Σεπτεμβρίου (12-16) στη Χαλκιδική. Καλούμε όλους του παλιούς αθλητές της κλάσης να βγάλουν τα σκάφης τους από τις αποθήκες και τα γκαράζ τους, να τα προετοιμάσουν και να συγκεντρωθούν για λίγο ρετρό windsurfing.

Ο αγώνας αυτός είναι μία ιδέα του παλαίμαχου αθλητή Στράτου Ευθυβουλίδη ο οποίος ήρθε σε επαφή με ένα γκρουπ άλλων βετεράνων αθλητών που έχουν δημιουργήσει την ομάδα τους στο facebook και έχουν ήδη οργανώσει αγώνες της ένδοξης αυτής κλάσης. Αναμένονται συμμετοχές από πολλές χώρες όπως Αμερική, Καναδά, Ρωσία, Γαλλία, Ιταλία και βέβαια Ελλάδα.

Για όσους δεν έχουν κρατήσει σε πλεύσιμη κατάσταση κάποιο σκάφος Div.II, ως εναλλακτική λύση θα γίνει και ένας αγώνας της κλάσης Raceboard Όσοι δεν διαθέτουν καθόλου εξοπλισμούς αυτών των δύο κλάσεων, τότε μπορούν να έρθουν στη Χαλκιδική για ολιγοήμερες διακοπές όπου θα συναντήσουν φίλους από τα παλιά και για να ζήσουν για άλλη μία φορά την μοναδική παρέα και μαγεία που πρόσφερε στη χρυσή εποχή του windsurfing η κλάση των DivIsion II.

Με την ευκαιρία αυτής την ανακοίνωσης, υπενθυμίζουμε ότι κατά κάποιο τρόπο θα υπάρχει και το pre-event που θα γίνει στο Καράβι του Σχινιά την 1^η Σεπτεμβρίου όπου θα γίνει ο αγώνας εις μνήμη Στέλιου Γεωργοσόπουλου. Όπως και πέρυσι, έτσι και φέτος θα μαζευτούν όλα τα παλιοσείρια για να περάσουν μαζί μία τέλεια ημέρα κάνοντας βέβαια πολύ windsurfing!

1. RULES

1.1 Division 2 Class and Raceboard Class rules will apply.

1.2 ISAFRacing Rules for Sailing for 2009-2012 will apply.

1.3 Rules resulting from the present notice of race will apply.

1.4 Rules resulting from the Sailing Instructions will apply.

1.5 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2 ADVERTISING

Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

3.1 The regatta is open to Division 2 and Raceboard classes

4 FEES

4.1 The required fees are as follows:
Youth: 40 Euros, Men/Women: 60 Euros, Veterans: 50 Euros.

4.2 A reduction of 20 Euros will apply for competitor entries received before the 10th of August 2012.

4.3 Entry fees paid at the registration shall be paid in cash - Euros.

5 SCHEDULE

5.1 Tuesday 11 Sept Early arrivals & training

5.2 Number of races:

Division 2	8	No more than 4
Raceboard	8	No more than 4

5.3 In each race the preparatory signal (5min) of the Division 2 class will be the class signal (10min) for the Raceboard class.

5.4 In the long distance race, the Division 2 and Raceboard classes will start simultaneously.

8 VENUE

Attachments A and B show the location of the racing areas.

9 THE COURSE

The courses to be sailed will be as follows:

10 SCORING

10.1 The Bonus Point System of Appendix A will apply.

10.2 One (1) race is required to be completed and to constitute a series.

10.3 (a) When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.

(b) When 6 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

(c) When more than 7 races have been completed, a boats series score will be total of her race scores excluding her 2 worst score.

11 CATEGORIES

MEN DIVISION 2 SAIL TYPE A (6.3m2)

MEN DIVISION 2 SAIL TYPE B (FULL BATTENED 7,5m2)

VETERANS (from 55 years old and beyond) DIVISION 2

VETERANS (from 55 years old and beyond) RACEBOARD

At least 3 competitors must participate in each category to be valid.

The race committee keeps the right to change the categories.

12 PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the 3 winners in each category

13 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
