Are you ready to have fun and challenge yourself?

It is our pleasure to introduce you to the first ever Paros Endurance Charity Race 2012, and the opportunity to participate in a unique and inspiring event.

For 3 amazing days this August, hundreds of athletes from around the world will join us on the beautiful island of Paros, Greece and give their best to promote social inclusion and to give the opportunity to enrich the lives of people with disabilities through our amazing sport.

The races include:

Men's Individual Endurance Race
Women's Individual Endurance Race
Mixed Team Endurance Race
This is the first time that such an event is organized in Paros, and it is really worth getting involved! The objective is to raise funds to support GKF's training programs for people with disabilities- which empower them by teaching the skills to become kiters. Rules

Kiters need to strategise for the race. Work with the wind forecast and your experience.

Individual Race:
• Kiters can only use one kite and board during the entire race.

Team Race:
• Each team consists of 3 kiters. They will share the same 1 kite during the entire race. Kites will be landed before they are passed to their team mates.

The winner will be the one who has raised the most funds. How is money raised? When each lap is completed, 1 euro is donated to the team's basket by friends and family. The winning team will be the one who completes the most laps.

Day 1: 6th of August

• 5:00-6:00pm Event Registration and Athlete Check-in

• 6:30-8:30pm Athlete, Volunteer and VIP Drinks

Day 2: 7th of August Individual Kite Endurance Race

• 10:30-11:30am Registration

• 11:45am Skippers Meeting

• 12:00pm Women's Individual Kite Endurance Race START

• 2:00pm Women's Endurance Race FINISH

• 3:00pm Men's Individual Kite Endurance Race START

• 5:00pm Men's Endurance Race FINISH

• 7:30pm Awards

Day 3: 8th of August Group Kite Endurance Race

• 1:30-2:30pm Registration

• 2:45pm Skippers Meeting

• 3:00pm Group Kite Endurance Race START

• 6:00pm Endurance Race FINISH

• 7:30pm Awards and Closing Ceremony

Each participant will receive a gift from Quicksilver Greece.

Registration is €40 and includes the event lycra. To ensure safety and fun for all, spaces are limited. We can accommodate 15 kites in each race:

•15 kiters in the Womens race,

•15 kiters in the Mens race, and

•15 teams of 3 kiters in the Group race.
